October 2023 U.S. CIS Naturalization Ceremony at Longfellow House, Cambridge
Melanie Rucinski is a freelance pianist based in the Boston area. She has recently performed at First Church Belmont (Brahms Requiem, 2025) and with the Joshua Dixon Belt voice studio (2025-26), Cambridge Community Chorus (2023-24), NEMPAC Opera Project (Le nozze di Figaro, 2023), and Metropolitan Chorale (Carmina Burana, 2023). Previously, Melanie was a collaborative pianist for the Boston Children’s Chorus, Promenade Opera Project, A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theater Training, and Julie Krugman voice studio; and has played for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Boston student auditions and the Boston Area Theatre Auditions. Melanie performed with La Ti Do Cabaret in Washington, D.C. from 2015-16 and played in the world premier of the comic opera Do Not Disturb at the 2016 Capital Fringe Festival. If you look closely, you can also catch her playing piano at the middle school graduation in Defending Jacob on Apple TV.
Melanie holds a B.A. from Harvard College, where she played oboe with the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra and music directed productions of Next to Normal and The Last Five Years. She is currently the accompanist for the Jameson Singers, in which she also sings soprano.
